New Funding Announcement for Rural Areas

An extension to UK Shared Prosperity Fund has been announced for rural areas, replacing EU funding under LEADER.

The Rural England Prosperity Fund will be £110m to support businesses such as farms, wedding venues and community hubs such as pubs or village halls. The fund will be managed by DLUHC and DEFRA for eligible local authorities, in addition to, but integrated with UKSPF.

The fund was launched on 3rd September 2022 with a deadline window of 3rd October to 30th November 2022. Spend in 2023/4 and 2024/5 and can support various types of organisations, including charities and voluntary organisations.
