Citizens Advice have recently launched their first cost of living dashboard, which includes accessible graphs and insights into the problems people accessing their services are facing.
Key trends highlighted so far:
- More people are hitting crisis points this year. For example, by the end of June, Citizens Advice have already seen more people who couldn’t afford to top up their prepayment meter than in 2019, 2020 or 2021.
- Demand for help with the cost of living has been rising for a long time.
- Citizens Advice are seeing more people with negative budgets – where you have more essential spending going out than coming in – than ever before.
